Suicide Prevention Panel Comes to Clark

By Savannah Scott in Campus

According to a study done by Midwestern University, an average of three U.S. college students commit suicide each day.

Clark will hold a suicide prevention panel on April 23 at noon in PUB 161, answering questions about suicide. The group of trained adults will also teach students strategies to prevent suicide.

“Talking about these types of issues can be tough, but we want to be here to help students,” said a panel member who asked to remain anonymous.

For immediate suicide help, Clark is advising students to call the Clark County Crisis Line at 360-696-9560. To schedule an appointment with a Clark counselor, call 360-992-2614.

If you need any accommodations due to a disability in order to fully participate in this event, please feel free to contact Clark’s Disability Support Services Office at (360) 992-2314 or visit PUB 013.
